Weaving - Introduction to Branch Weaving
Discover this inspiring way of weaving using branches as the frame. On this one day workshop, textile artist Helen Foroughi will introduce you to an original and creative offshoot of tapestry weaving. Ground yourself in the mindful process of weaving, using found branches as the structure for your creations.

A truly absorbing experience, be inspired by nature's shapes, working with colour and texture to create unique freeform weavings.

There will be a supply of yarns and suitable branches to weave on as frames. Feel free to also bring any favourite yarns you might like to use and your own interesting branch shapes and finds.

There will be an additional materials cost of £3.00 for needles and yarns. This is payable in cash to the tutor on the day of the workshop. It would help to bring the correct change to minimise cash handling.

Please also bring a pair of scissors.

If you are claiming a Means Tested Benefit fee reduction or enrolling via social prescription, the materials cost for this workshop will be covered by York Learning.
