Yoga for Wellbeing - Breathe, Flow, Rest & Restore
This course is suitable for those who are new to yoga, as well as for learners returning to practice after a break. It provides a supportive introduction to key aspects of yoga, with a particular focus on postures (asana) and breathwork (pranayama). By learning to coordinate movement with breath, learners can develop techniques that support improved focus, stress management, tension release, and a greater sense of calm and relaxation, contributing to overall wellbeing.

Through tutor demonstration and guided practice, learners will explore a range of postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation practices in a structured and accessible way.

The course will draw mainly on hatha and restorative yoga styles, but will also introduce some gentle yoga flows to help learners build towards a gentle vinyasa practice.

By the end of the course, learners should have a basic understanding of the key principles of yoga, including postures (asana) and breathwork (pranayama), as well as experience of movements drawn from a range of yoga styles. Learners should feel confident to progress to further yoga classes and may experience benefits such as improved flexibility and strength, greater awareness of the breath, and a better understanding of their body’s needs. They should also be able to apply the skills introduced during the course to support their wellbeing and help manage the demands of everyday life.
