Explore Drawing Techniques at York Minster
This course focuses on drawing through the exploration of York Minster and its treasures. We will work in situ inside York Minster, as well as in the studio located in the Old Palace, looking at some of the wonderful artefacts located in collections there.

Lessons will include instruction on basic techniques and developing ways of looking at art; we will explore the work of other artists and look at the different approaches which can be taken in architectural-based drawing.

This is a very friendly and supportive class suitable for a range of abilities. Short tutor presentations and one to one advice encourage learners to experiment and try new possibilities using a range of different materials. Guidance is personalised and it is fine if a learner wants to work at their own pace or repeat and develop certain exercises further. Classes occasionally take place in the gardens of Dean's Park if weather permits.
