Strictly - Introduction to Social Foxtrot
Enjoy the smooth, easy‑going feel of Social Foxtrot in this relaxed introductory cours designed for adult beginners. Across the sessions, you’ll learn the core rhythm, simpl walking patterns, and gentle turns that make Social Foxtrot one of the most versatile and enjoyable social dances. The pace is steady and supportive, giving you time to build confidence, develop your lead‑and‑follow skills, and move comfortably with a partner.
Whether you’re completely new to dancing or looking to refresh the basics, this course offera friendly environment where you can experience the pleasure of gliding around the floor with ease.

This course is ideal for complete beginners or those who have danced a little in the past and would like a refresher. No previous dance experience is required.
You should be comfortable with gentle physical activity and able to participate in light aerobic movement. Before starting any exercise programme, it’s advisable to seek guidanc from a GP or health professional if you have any concerns, such as an existing health condition or injury. If you feel that any health issues may affect your participation, please email the organising team with the course title and tutor name. Your message will be forwarded to the tutor, who
may contact you before the first session if appropriate.

● Suitable footwear:
○ Lightweight day shoes or dance shoes
○ Avoid heavy boots, sandals, or shoes with very grippy soles
○ Heels should be no higher than 3 inches
