It would be hugely advantageous to you to have access to a laptop/PC – doing it via a tablet/phone will be extremely challenging. You will need internet access. We estimate that the average learner will need to spend 5-6 hours a week for the 20 weeks in order to successfully complete this course.

Access to this course is not possible at the same time as a learner is taking any apprenticeship (eg L3 Childcare). If you are doing an apprenticeship with York Learning or any other provider, you are able to access this course for free when you have completed your End Point Assessment for your apprenticeship. You are not able to access the course for free whilst you are still registered on your apprenticeship.

If you are on any other workbased learning course which is NOT an apprenticeship you are able to access this course for free at the same time as your other course, albeit we recommend again not trying to do too much simultaneously and suggest doing this course as a followup to/before your other desired L3/L5 course.

This is a substantial course of over 100 guided learning hours. It involves a significant amount of coursework submission and it is almost certain that feedback will guide you to change and improve some of your coursework. It is not a course in which you can assume you will get through it quickly. Please ensure that you have considered how you will structure your study time for this course over a period of months before you sign up for the course.
