Drawing for Improvers at York Minster
This course focuses on drawing through the exploration of York Minster and its treasures. We will also work from the wonderful collection of artefacts located in the Old Palace.

Over the eight weeks, we will focus upon improving your range of skills in observational drawing through the exploration of these sources, looking in particular at line, tone, form and composition.

We will also explore a variety of materials, and look at how as artists we can develop our own sense of style and voice, creating more personal drawings using the Minster as a key source.

Lessons will include instruction on basic techniques through one-to-one personalised guidance and discussion of worksheets exploring the work of other artists and looking at the different approaches that can be taken in drawing and painting.

Throughout the course, learners will practise and experiment with techniques in a supportive and friendly environment.
