Jewellery - Silver Hammered Bangle
In this workshop, you will learn how to make a hammered silver bangle, including how to anneal (soften) silver, cut (pierce), file, form and solder your silver to make your bangle.

We will make a practice bangle in copper and progress on to finalising a design in sterling silver. Other techniques covered within the workshop include texturing. You will also develop an understanding of the basic science behind manipulating metals and the processes used to clean and polish copper and silver.

You will be provided with copper sheet as well as a copper wire. You will also be provided with some Sterling silver round wire measuring 2mm x 10inchs. There may also be extra silver to purchase on the day. All tools, gas, flux and solder are included.

By the end of the workshop, you will come away with a designed copper bangle and designed silver bangle. You will also be given information on how to set up a jewellery making space within your home and a basic tools list for those who wish to continue jewellery making at home and within a budget.
