Gilded Christmas Stars and Boxes
You will gild your very own Christmas stars (of various sizes) to hang, and a selection of different shaped boxes in this one-day session.

We will demystify the gilding process, working with different types of metal leaf, and learning how to apply and patinate it.

Different metals can be used to create a unique decoration for your home.

You will be given information on the tools and materials used; a supplier list; printed guidance on the process and how to further develop your interest in gilding.

All materials are provided by the tutor on the day at a cost of £8.00 for up to 6 stars and boxes. You can also pay an additional amount for more stars and boxes if you want to make more.

Please bring this to the workshop to give to the tutor, and where possible, please bring the correct money to minimize cash handling.

If you require refreshments, please bring a packed lunch, snacks and beverages. Explore York also has a café where you can purchase food and drinks.
