Sew-in-Summer
Enjoy a relaxed learning environment and pick up new skills in dressmaking and home sewing. These informal sessions have been specifically set up to enable existing and new learners to extend their sewing skills during the summer, and continue working on those unfinished projects or even start a new one.

So often people have the best intentions to sew frequently, but then get stuck on something specific or time runs away with us, and items remain unfinished.

There are no set outcomes on our Sew-in-Summer workshops, moreover, it is expected that all learners will be working on something different and working at their own pace.

This mixed ability setting, enables learners to gain inspiration from their peers whilst obtaining essential knowledge and information from their tutor, thereby allowing them to move forward.

Please bring along your own project to work on during the session including a pattern (if appropriate), fabric, thread and any haberdashery items which might be needed on the day.

You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine along, so that you gain experience using it, however, there are also sewing machines available that you can use.

**If you do bring your own sewing machine, please ensure it is in good working order.

Steam-generated irons, overlockers and a cover stitch machine will be available to use during the session.

Please note, refreshments are not provided as part of the day. There is a café on site that sells drinks and cakes, but we recommend you bring your own lunch.
