Collage and Image Making Workshop
We will start this workshop by looking at how the likes of Picasso and Braque introduced collage as an artform in the early 20th century, and in contrast to this, you will also be introduced to modern day collage artists and the exciting collage community that is a vibrant and inspiring world to be a part of today.

From material provided in magazines and handpicked printouts, you will gather imagery you are drawn to and begin to assemble it onto mount card. Please also bring imagery of your own if you would like to, but please note that we cannot scan imagery on-site or photocopy to provide multiple copies.

You will learn what images attract and intrigue you, with colour and composition always being a key factor.

Concluding with the final arrangement being fixed into place, you can then hand finish with pens and inks to create a cohesive image worth framing! If you prefer, you can make a number of smaller images and we can make them into a concertina notebook.
