Contemporary Painting & Drawing
Be encouraged to experiment and develop your painting and drawing skills, whatever your abilities!

Your tutor will introduce a range of structured, creative activities and short projects using observational drawing and landscape as a starting point.

You will have the opportunity to explore all of the “formal elements” of drawing and painting, such as line, colour, tone and composition, before experimenting with abstract techniques. You can work with any medium of your choice.

This is a lovely course that encourages learners to not only make beautiful images, but also, if they would like to, to find meaning in their artwork as their skills, knowledge and abilities grow.

The classes are supportive and very non-judgemental: some people come to build a portfolio, whilst others come to maintain their wellbeing. All are welcome.
