Jewellery - Silver Stacking Ring
In this workshop, you will learn how to make a trio of silver rings including how to anneal (soften) silver, cut (pierce), file, form and solder your silver to make your own stacking rings.

We will make a practice ring in copper and progress on to finalising 3 in sterling silver.

Other techniques covered within the workshop include texturing.

Your tutor will talk through the tools used within the workshop and demonstrate all the steps and techniques. You will also learn how to calculate your ring size and develop an understanding of the basic science behind manipulating metals and the processes used to clean and polish copper and silver.

By the end of the workshop, you will come away with four designed ring bands, one in copper and three in silver.

You will be given information on how to set up a jewellery making space within your home, and also given a basic tools list for those of you who wish to continue jewellery making at home and within a budget.

If additional materials are required, because people have experience/would like to complete work at home, items will be available at an additional cost to purchase from the tutor on the day.

If you require refreshments, please bring a packed lunch, snacks and beverages (including tea/coffee) as these are not available at this venue.
