Willow Weaving: Rustic Basket
After weaving a basic willow frame we will then go onto create a beautiful rustic willow basket. Hedgerow materials work well when woven into these baskets, but their use is optional.

During the day, you will learn about willow – the different sorts, the preparation, some new words relating to basket weaving, as well as a variety of weaving techniques.

Instructions and help will be given whenever needed until you finish a unique and lovely basket.

Materials and equipment will be provided.

There is an additional cost for the willow. The cost is £7.00, and this is payable in cash to the tutor at the start of the workshop. (Please try to bring the correct money as this is helpful for the tutor.)

If you have your own pair of sharp secateurs it would be useful to bring these along with you.

You can also bring any hedgerow material that you would like to use that could add colour or texture to your work, such as “dogwood” (this is optional).

Please bring a packed lunch, snacks and hot/cold drinks with you on the day, as refreshments are not available at the venue.
