Returning to Work - Information, Advice and Guidance
In this free five week course you will explore Transferable Skills and focus on these to build an up to date CV. You will also learn about completing applications and how to prepare for an interview, with an opportunity to practise your skills in a mock interview. The course will also include tips on job-searching.

This course is aimed at people with children who are thinking about returning to work, or people who are looking at changing careers. It has been designed to give you the support and confidence boost you need to successfully re-enter the workplace.

The course is fully funded. You will be provided with course materials, however feel free to bring a notepad if you wish to make notes.

On your Family Learning course you will be developing transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, interpersonal skills, creativity, resilience and critical thinking. The skills, experience and knowledge you acquire on this course could lead to jobs in areas such as childcare, teaching assistant or working in schools, retail and customer service as well as self-employment. And further learning such as maths, English, access courses, digital skills, nursing and midwifery, STEM and further education.

Please note that Adult Education funding is for individuals who are over the age of 19 on the 31st of August prior to the start date of their course.
