Do you struggle to get your child to listen ? In this 5 week course we'll be looking at ways you can help your child to develop better listening skills through a range of different techniques and fun games and activities . In addition we'll also be looking at ways to develop your child's language skills to help them to get across what they want to say and develop their vocabulary. Come along and find out how you can help your child to develop these important communication skills.

This course is perfect for parents, grandparents or carers of children in nursery, reception or in their early years at school. It's also ideal for anyone who wants to volunteer or work in an early years setting.
Building up parent's confidence and is particularly useful for people considering careers in childcare, or teaching.

On your Family Learning course you will be developing transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, interpersonal skills, creativity, resilience and critical thinking.
The skills, experience and knowledge you acquire on this course could lead to jobs or apprenticeships in areas such as childcare, teaching assistant or working in schools, retail and customer service as well as self-employment. And further learning such as maths, English, access courses, digital skills, nursing and midwifery and further education.

Please note that Adult Education funding is for individuals who are over the age of 19 on the 31st of August prior to the start date of their course.
