Digital Skills Building Blocks - bitesize digital knowledge chunks!
This course introduces you to the digital building blocks you need to boost your confidence when working with your device online. Our short friendly course with an experienced, professional tutor, will take you through 4 key areas using the popular online resource, Learn My Way. You will learn to use the Internet and keep yourself safe online, use email and social media, learning how to manage and spend money online and look at employment and working with Microsoft Office programs. This is whistle stop tour of some of the main elements of working and living in a digital world.

This course allows you to learn at your own pace and will give you free access to Learn My Way allowing you to continue your journey in your own time should you wish, after the course.

This course is suitable for people who already have basic digital skills and can access information online themselves, but need a helping hand to boost their skills and confidence.

If you have your own tablet then feel free to bring it, along with headphones. However, we will have tablets and headphones available for use.

At the end of the course our tutor will talk to you about your next steps and future courses to help you continue your digital development.

From this course you might progress to Entry 3 or Level One accredited courses with us such as Essential Digital Skills or ICDL, or onto other non accredited courses to develop your digital confidence further.

Please note that Adult Education funding is for individuals who are over the age of 19 on the 31st of August prior to the start date of their course.
