Floristry Skills - Beginners and Improvers
This is a relaxed and enjoyable short course where you will be guided through a variety of skills and techniques associated with floristry.

Whether you are new to floristry or already have some experience, you will learn how to make beautiful bouquets, display flowers creatively in a vase and create floral displays suitable for a gift to enjoy at home or for an event.

You will learn about the selection and care of various plant materials and how to use these in traditional, seasonal and contemporary designs.

You will be given advice about what type of containers and gift wrapping might be appropriate. You will also learn how to package and transport flowers to prevent damage, and how to wire flowers to form more complex structures.

PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS A FORTNIGHTLY CLASS.

You may like to bring a notebook to class.

All fresh flowers and foliage are included in the course fee for week 1.
For the remaining weeks you will source your own flowers and foliage to take to the class. The tutor will inform you of any themes or designs that will be covered in the remaining weeks so you can purchase accordingly.

You may wish to bring your own floristry snippers to the class but the tutor will take some floristry tools that you are welcome to borrow during the class.

For the first week you can either bring a round container with a diameter of approximately 10cm–15cm to display your flowers in, or if you do not have one and don't wish to purchase one seperately then you may borrow one from the tutor and you will be asked for cash deposit of £5 for the container, which will be fully refunded when the container is returned.
