Web Development Steps 4: Webforms and Databases using PHP
PHP is a scripting language widely used for creating dynamic web pages. Combining PHP and MySQL allows developers to store create, read, update, and delete data using web forms.

In this course we will be covering the basics of using PHP and MySQL code for processing forms on websites and storing user data including creating an example login page.

This course is for beginners to PHP. Good computer skills are essential for this course and it is not for beginners to computing but for beginners to PHP. A basic understanding of HTML is required.

No prior knowledge of PHP is needed however you should have a good level of general IT skills and a basic knowledge of HTML is required. As the course will be delivered online (on Zoom and Google Classroom) you will need a computer or laptop (rather than a tablet or phone) internet access, microphone/ speakers (or headset). You should be confident with using the web and managing files and folders. Please note that for this course you will be required to install some free software on your computer to create a virtual webserver.
