Essential Digital Skills Entry Level 3 and Level 1
The government-backed Essential Digital Skills qualifications are designed to help people gain the digital skills required for everyday use in life and at work.
There are 2 levels available, and between them both they cover a range of skills such as how to use different digital devices, how to search the internet and be confident with finding information online, keeping safe online, communicating digitally and creating documents. You can work in a small group with our patient, experienced tutors.

It’s a mixture of knowledge, practical skills and demonstrations. Our learners usually start at Entry Three and progress to Level One once they’ve completed their Entry Three exams. Both Entry Three and Level One are fully accredited courses meaning you’ll gain a nationally recognised qualification on completion.

You will be working in a classroom where there are already installed PC’s so you do not need your own device. It would be helpful if you can bring a notebook and pen. All exam costs and registration costs are included – there is no extra cost to you.

Our Essential Digital Skills Entry Level 3 courses run termly. If you’re interested in a course but that term’s course has already started, we’ll put you on the waiting list and offer you a place before the start of the next term’s course. Our Level 1 course is run in our Flexible Learning session and can be started at any time.

Being able to demonstrate transferable skills will improve your confidence and self-awareness, make you more employable, and help you with further learning and volunteering.

Employers value employees who have strong transferable skills, as they tend to have the tools to help them go beyond their job description.
