Night Photography and Light Painting
Everything looks different at night and it's a great time to take dramatic pictures.

We will meet in the ground floor Brierley Room at the Central Library in town at 6.45pm. Please arrive in good time to ensure a prompt start.

Following a short introduction by the tutor, the group will then move out into the city centre to start taking photographs. You can take photos of anything - the streets, the river, traffic lights, street musicians, etc. The tutor will be able to answer questions and give advice.

All you need is a charged camera/smartphone and an eagerness to learn more about creating wonderful night photography.

This course takes place in York and involves walking around the city centre at night to take photographs. Make sure that you wear warm clothing to protect against the night chill.

We will meet in the Brierley Room at York Explore Library at 6.45pm for a short introduction to the evening's session.
Please ensure that you arrive in good time so that we can make a prompt start. (Please note that you won't be able to leave anything at the library, so you will need to carry everything with you for the outdoors part of the session.)

There are bike racks at the library and on Exhibition Square nearby, and a number of buses stop nearby also. The closest large carparks are at Marygate and Gillygate, plus there is a small carpark located behind the small Sainsburys supermarket off Bootham.
