Ceramics for Beginners
This course introduces learners to the wonderful art form which is ceramics. The first four weeks will be spent completing a guided project. The basics of clay construction will be practised but the processes will be appropriate for both absolute beginners and those with existing knowledge. During the second half of the term, learners will design and develop a project of their own choosing with expert guidance and support from the tutor. As part of the course, you will also be shown how to decorate work using slips, as well as how to glaze a finished product.

Please note: This is a hand-built pottery and ceramics course. Throwing will not be taught as there are not the facilities available.

This class is a relaxing environment where you will learn how to create your own pots which you can then take home.
