Life Painting Workshop
This workshop will help you take your life-drawing skills to the next stage by introducing you to working directly with paint. You can work in acrylic, watercolour or gouache.

Working directly from our life-model, we will focus on colour, tone and painterly techniques to produce a series of studies with paint and brush that look at academic qualities such as proportion, but also allow you to experiment with mark-making and colour.

We’ll begin the day by using a limited palette to focus on tone and form and then we’ll develop more expressive mark-making and work on a longer study in the afternoon.

Please note we are working from a nude life model.

This workshop is suitable for all levels, whether or not you have attended a previous life-drawing class. You will be given tuition throughout the workshop, as required. If you’re a more experienced learner then this will allow you to push your skills and experiment with media.
