Italian Lower Intermediate
This is a blended course based on six online zoom lessons and four face-to-face lessons at Huntington Community Centre.* (For dates of face-to-face sessions, please see the 'Is there anything else I need to know?' section.)

*Please note that the first session on the 16 September 2024 will be a face-to-face session.

We will start the course talking about travel choices and holidays. There will be the opportunity to describe your personal preferences and activities while on holiday and discussing the pros and cons of your choices.

The aim is to become more familiar with the use of the past tense to describe previous holidays and the future tense for a project or a future holiday, and to explore the conditional tense to describe what you would like to do.

We will also explore aspects of Italian society, art and culture. You will acquire new vocabulary and a deeper understanding of the structure of the language, with emphasis on accuracy of pronunciation. You will learn by listening, reading texts, doing a variety of exercises and practising in role play situations.
