Painting & Drawing
This is a mixed-ability class with lots of tutor guidance, so is suitable for learners with little or no previous experience, as well as for those with some previous experience.

We will take a broad look at a range of different techniques, materials and methods in drawing and painting, focusing on the fundamentals of line, tone, mark-making and colour.
We will also look at individual materials to gain confidence.

The course is made up of a range of practical tasks and tutor-led demonstrations with opportunities for experimentation as you develop in confidence.
The course will give you a foundation in drawing and painting using water-based and dry media, allowing you to move on
to other classes, or to just give you the confidence to enjoy your painting and drawing at home.

We will use a range of materials including pen, pencil, charcoal, pastel, acrylic and watercolour.
We will also look at a range of artists' work and learn about their techniques and styles.
