Jewellery Making - Silver Ring
In this workshop, you will learn how to make a silver ring including how to anneal (soften) silver, cut (pierce), file, form and solder your silver to make your ring. We will make a practice ring in copper and progress on to finalising a design in sterling silver. Other techniques covered within the workshop include texturing and stamping.

Your tutor will talk through the tools used within the workshop and demonstrate all the steps and techniques. You will also learn how to calculate your ring size and develop an understanding of the basic science behind manipulating metals and the processes used to clean and polish copper and silver.

By the end of the workshop you will come away with two designed ring bands, one in copper and one in silver. You will also be given information on how to set up a jewellery making space within your home and a basic tools list for those who wish to continue jewellery making at home and within a budget.
