Painting with an iPad
Learn how to draw and paint on a tablet (iPad or similar) using Procreate software. We’ll look at a variety of subjects, such as still life and landscape.

Under your control, Procreate will reproduce the qualities of oil paint, pastel, watercolour, and many other media, but we will also explore ways of creating images that are, in fact, unique to the tablet.

We will look at artists who use an iPad to create their paintings. Some time will be spent critiquing the work of others, however, this is predominantly a practical course where you will learn how to use your iPad creatively to produce artwork.

Participants will complete several paintings and drawings on their tablets and will gain understanding and confidence in using Procreate on their tablet. Learners will also develop an understanding of the technical and practical aspects of digital art – how to save work, how to share it, how to get it printed etc.
