Tap Dance for Beginners
This Tap Dancing course will suit all levels and abilities. It will give you a basic understanding of tap technique as well as broaden your understanding of tap and will develop your sense of rhythm and movement. Our experienced tutor will adjust the content of the class to ensure all learners of all abilites are able to learn & develop in the class. A good tap dancer uses their whole body to convey the movement and sense of performance – it is not just about the feet! The course will explore different musical styles and will develop your ability to combine steps into dance sequences. Like all forms of dance, tap is great fun and is hugely beneficial for your physical and mental well-being. It’s guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!

The course offers an introduction to the technique and varied styles of tap dancing and will improve your co-ordination, musicality, spatial awareness, mental agility and stamina.

Classes are designed to be accessible and are suitable for anyone in good health with a passion for dance. The class is aimed at beginners so no previous dance experience is necessary, but if you do have some prior knowledge you are still most welcome to come along.
This course provides skills for self improvement, but could also lead to further study and lead to a career in the fitness field.

Wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move in and suitable footwear. Tap shoes would be perfect but character shoes or other shoes with hard soles would be acceptable. Please avoid high heels. Prosp User 5
