Italian Year 3
This course will focus on how to talk about the past and past experiences, as well as how to give news and react.

This course is suitable for you if you attended the York Learning Italian Year 2 course, or if you are familiar with the following:-

• Basic sentence structure
• The present tense of regular verbs
• Basic vocabulary related to your family
• How to talk about your daily routines and habits
• How to ask and tell the time
• How to talk about your favourite food and drinks
• How to read a menu at a café.

This course provides skills for self improvement, which could lead to further study in the subject leading to work as a translator/interpreter.

New learners, please do not purchase a book until the course has started and the tutor has discussed requirements. We will continue to use the text book that was used during Year 2, “BBC Talk Italian 2”. We may then move onto the next book in the series during the autumn term.

This is a blended course, combining online classes and some face-to-face classes. Seven sessions will be delivered via Zoom, and three sessions will take place at Huntington School.

Please ensure that you can access Zoom on the device you are using.

You will receive details and joining instructions on how to access the course by email about 24 hours before the course is due to start. If you enrol later than this, the Zoom code will be emailed to you on the day that your course starts.

The Zoom code login and password you receive will be the same for every class this term.

You will need to join Zoom five minutes before your session is due to start and remain in the “waiting room”. Your tutor will then admit you to the class once your session is ready to begin.
