Make your Mannequin Fit You
Do you use your mannequin as a coat hanger? Why not come along and have a fun day learning how to re-shape your mannequin to be your body double.

Learn how to make a replica of your body to use as a dress form or mannequin, this can help to size, design and construct garments on your exact body double for a flawless fit.

You will learn a variety of techniques to enable you to re-shape your mannequin to your own size, you will also be shown how to alter it if your shape/size changes.

A fun course suitable for all ages. Learners should have some sewing experience. This course is NOT for beginners.

This course will provide skills for self improvement which could lead to further study and/or self employment, or lead onto further education in this subject at York College.

What you will need:

- A mannequin - if it is adjustable, adjust it to the size nearest your measurements.
- A bra - that fits you.
- A tape measure, hand stitching needle and thread.
- Wadding - 1 metre cut into various size oval shapes.

Please note that Adult Education funding is for individuals who are over the age of 19 on the 31st of August prior to the start date of their course.
