ICDL Advanced Certificate (Level 3 Loan funded)
This is an advanced qualification in IT and is equivalent to an A level. You will develop the ability to understand, identify and use relevant methods and skills to complete tasks and address problems. You will need to take responsibility for initiating and completing tasks and procedures using Microsoft Office through twice weekly attendance and home study.
You must already have a Level 2 qualification in IT office applications or be able to pass a sample test at Level 2 to be able to undertake this qualification. There are five modules to cover and you must complete all modules to achieve. The final mandatory unit demonstrates that you can apply relevant skills and knowledge to develop a specified outcome, or solution. The five units are Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Improving Productivity. You will need to independently determine, select and apply the necessary IT tools and techniques to achieve the given task. Achievement of a full BCS Level 3 Certificate in ICT.

Anyone currently working at Level 2 in all MS Office applications or who has achieved an ICDL Extra ITQ (including MS Access) within the last two years. This course can lead to roles in multiple sectors where a higher than normal understanding of aspects of the Microsoft Office package is required, eg MIS , data handling or analysis, etc

Proof of identity is required before registration using:- Driving Licence (with picture) or Passport and 2 utility bills showing your name and current address before enrolment is confirmed. A £10 returnable deposit is required for each book and you will need to bring a USB memory stick. Find out about the Advanced Learner Loan and delay payment until you are earning over £27,295 a year.
