Pilates for Beginners - Improve Flexibility & Strength
This Pilates course is suitable for beginners or those with minor health conditions requiring modifications to exercises. All exercises will be performed in a steady and controlled manner allowing the individual to focus their attention on the specific muscles and joints being used. We will focus on areas of stabilisation as well as flexibility.
We will train the whole body aiming to improve posture, strength, mobility, flexibility, co-ordination and balance whilst practicing breathing techniques that will support good circulation and encourage concentration and focus. We will give our attention to the six key Pilates principles as defined by Joseph Pilates including: concentration, control, centre, flow, precision and breathing.
There will be an opportunity to improve balance from both standing exercises but also kneeling and side lying positions.
