Painting & Drawing - Improvers
This is a practical course designed to improve and build upon your painting and drawing skills. You will work on two themed projects over the ten weeks, spending five weeks on each. Your tutor will give you lots of source materials, ideas and encouragement to help you work towards individual outcomes.

You’ll work in a wide range of wet and dry art materials including acrylic, watercolour pastels and mixed-media. There will be a mix of tutor-led demonstrations, lots of hands-on tasks and plenty of opportunity for experimentation. You’ll also be encouraged to share your work with the rest of the group and get lots of supportive feedback.

Both projects will incorporate key areas of learning including understanding the Formal Elements of art, developing compositions and gaining confidence in handling materials. You will study the work of various painters too as this will help inform your own work.
