Italian Year 2 - Term 3
This is a practical, communicative, face-to-face course based on listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar skills. It is suitable for learners who have completed Year 1 and Terms 1 and 2 of Year 2 with York Learning, or those who have recently studied Italian in a formal setting for a minimum of 18 months and are at an equivalent level.

In Year 2, Term 3, we will build upon themes and grammar points covered previously and will focus on the following topics:

- Asking the way and following directions
- Reporting problems (loss, theft)
- Talking about events in the past (using the "passato prossimo")
- Talking about holidays generally and future holiday plans (using the present tense)
- Talking about past holidays (using the "passato prossimo")
- Talking about the weather and understanding weather forecasts

In order to enrol for this course, you must have:

- completed Year 1 and Terms 1 and 2 of Year 2 with York Learning, OR
- recently studied Italian in a formal setting for a minimum of 18 months and be familiar with the vocabulary and grammar covered in BBC Talk Italian Book 1 and Units 1-5 of Book 2.

If you wish to learn the language for travel, personal interest, or because you have Italian friends or family, this course is suitable for you.

Please bring a pen, A4 file paper and an A4 ring binder file for storing the handouts and exercise sheets that your tutor will provide throughout the course.

The course book used will be: BBC Talk Italian 2.
