Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies TUESDAY 6PM-9PM
This course builds upon the knowledge and insight gained from the CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills and is the next step towards becoming a fully qualified counsellor. It explores key theoretical perspectives that underpin the counselling role and introduces the process of
clinical supervision, the counselling contract, client assessments and common mental health issues. Your capacity to listen and support others in a professional role will be greatly improved as you will enhance your listening and communication skills through continued skills practice work.
The 7 mandatory units set out by the awarding body (CPCAB) will benefit you both personally and professionally.

This qualification is for candidates who have already acquired a level of knowledge and understanding in counselling skills from completing the CPCAB Level 2 Certificate (or equivalent) and wish to continue their training. It will not qualify you to be a counsellor, but it will prepare you to progress on to a professional counsellor training course such as the CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
This course is a prerequisite to the Level 4 Diploma in Therpeutic Counselling. It may also lead to other qualifications in FE and HE and enhance career progression in the helping sector.
