Spanish Upper Intermediate
This is a very interesting Spanish Language course in which you will learn a new verbal mode for expressing wishes, necessities and complaints (el “subjuntivo”).

If you enjoyed the Spanish Intermediate course in terms 1 and 2, and wish to enrol for term 3, this is what we will cover in the summer term 2023:

TERM 3: Continuing further, we will learn many new resources for telling histories and speaking about causes and consequences, using a lot of new connectors. We will also learn a new Past tense called “Pretérito Pluscuamperfecto”.

The course is based on the communicative approach, so you will in the context, simulating real situations and playing games, watching videos, reading texts and much more.

This course is suitable for you if you have studied Spanish Language for a minimum of 5 or 6 years and you can conjugate fluently the “Presente”, “Pasado Indefinido”, “Pasado Perfecto” and “Pasado Imperfecto” and understand the difference between them without a problem. You can enrol onto this course if you have taken an A-Level in Spanish Language.

We strongly recommend that you take the level test before you enrol, especially if you have not studied Spanish in the last two years.

Please bring a notebook and writing materials. You will also need the book Aula Internacional 3, Editorial Difusion.

IMPORTANT: If you are new to the course this term, please do not buy the book until after the first session.

Please note, there is no class on Monday 1st & 8th May (bank holidays) and on Monday 29th May (half-tem holidays).

The library has limited parking. There is a small car park shared with library users, including a couple of spaces for blue-badge holders. Alternatively, you can park at Morrisons supermarket, which is a couple of minutes' walk down the road. Buses 1, 4 and 5 from the train station stop outside the library. There are also bike racks available. When you enter the library into the café area, you will see your classroom immediately to your left.
