Bra Making Beginners
Is your shop bought bra supportive, pretty and… most importantly comfortable? If not, this two-day course could be for you.

This course is designed for learners with a good knowledge of sewing but have no experience in making a bra. The course will include a copy of the pattern in your size (Pin-up Girls Classic Bra by Beverley Johnson). You will be required to measure yourself prior to the course. Further details of how to do this will be sent to you, once you have enrolled.

You will learn about the specialist fabrics, elastics and components that make up an underwired bra and how it is assembled. Your first bra may not fit perfectly, but will equip you with basic skills to alter.

This course will start you on your bra making journey… you won’t want to stop at just one bra! This class will inspire you again and again.

The class is an introduction to bra making. You’ll learn the basics of assembling a bra from cutting the pattern, sewing the pieces together, elastic application and the finishing touches!

You must be confident with basic sewing techniques when using a sewing machine.

Once you are enrolled, the tutor will contact you to determine which size of kit needs to be ordered for you and there will be a choice of colour (subject to availability). The 'bra making fabric and components kit' will cost £20.00. Please pay the tutor at the first session.

Please note these classes are smaller than usual with a maximum of 4 learners per workshop and enrolments will close 2 weeks before the class starts to enable time for your ‘kit’ to be ordered.

We advise that you bring your own sewing machine so that you gain experience using it. If you are unable to bring your own machine, please let us know at enrolment so that we can prepare one for you.
