Willow weaving - rustic basket
After weaving a basic willow frame we will then go onto create a beautiful rustic willow basket. Hedgerow materials work well when woven into these baskets, but their use is optional. During the day, you will learn about willow – the different sorts, the preparation, some new words relating to basket weaving, as well as a variety of weaving techniques.

Instructions and help will be given whenever needed until you finish a unique and lovely basket.

Materials and equipment will be provided.

Please bring a pair of sharp secateurs if you have them.
Also, you can bring any hedgerow material that you would like to use that could add colour or texture to your work, such as “dogwood”. (This is optional.)

There will be a small charge for the willow to be paid to the tutor in cash on the day of the course. We estimate that the materials charge will be between £5.00 - £7.00 (depending upon the wholesale price of willow at the time the course runs).

Please bring a packed lunch and drinks if you require them.

Please also bring your own hand sanitiser and sanitiser wipes.
