Morsbags! - Shopping Bags from Re-cycled Fabrics
Save money and help the environment by making a reusable, original, recycled, washable, strong morsbag that will last for years.
Hopefully this will be your first of many. You can make it as a gift for a friend or keep the one you make on the day and make more at home for friends, family, colleagues or even unsuspecting strangers. Beware - it's addictive!

We will have fabric availiable on the day of the workshop, but please bring along any fabrics you may have which you would like to use. Morsbags can be made from any fabric … from new scraps to recycled treasures. Do you have a guilty stash of fabric that hasn't been used for 25 years? Inherited old bedding that you don't need? Even hideous fabrics look fantastic reincarnated as morsbags. For example, an old single duvet cover may be unsellable in a charity shop due to one small hole or a dodgy pattern, but discard the holes and broken buttons and at least six morsbags can be made. Hurrah! Have a rummage. If you have a basic sewing kit (sharp scissors, pins, tape measure, handsewing needle…or any particular shade of thread you would like to use), please bring along with you also. Prosp User 5
Patterns for the morsbags will be provided at the class, along with instructions on how to make them. There will be lots of tutor advice, guidance and input along the way, so all levels of ability are catered for.

There is a lovely café on site where drinks and snacks can be purchased.
