Tai Chi Beginners/Improvers
PLEASE NOTE THIS COURSE IS A MIX OF FACE TO FACE CLASSES AND ZOOM, GENERALLY 2 WKS FACE TO FACE, THEN 2 WKS ON ZOOM. FACE TO FACE CLASSES ARE TO BE HELD ON FRIDAYS AT NEW EARSWICK BOWLS CLUB 1PM-2PM. ZOOM CLASSES ARE TO BE HELD ON A WEDNESDAY 18:15-19:15PM (PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR THE DATES FOR THE OPTIONS)
Improve your Health and Wellbeing with Wudang Tai Chi Chuan. Ideally this course is suitable who have previous experience of Tai Chi although beginners are most welcome. On the course you will continue to learn Wudang Tai Chi Hand Form, to help improve the balance, flexibility, structure and general health and wellbeing. You will tackle the 'complex movements' to help improve your brain power and memory and reduce stress. Tai Chi makes you feel more positive and happier. By the end of the course you will understand the basic self defence techniques from Tai Chi.

A basic level of fitness is required to participate in these classes as you will mostly be standing.
This course is also suitable for 'returners' and those wanting to continue learning Wudang Tai Chi Chuan. Perfect for those who have trained in this style before. Please ensure you notify York Learning of any contra indications to exercise before starting this course.

Please wear flat soled shoes/trainers/Tai Chi slippers, trousers and loose clothing and bring a bottle of water to class. Please make sure you have a suitable space available to exercise in, where you will be able to see your screen easily and safely. Prosp User 5

Prior to the start of the course please ensure that you can access Zoom on the device you are using for the online sessions.

You will receive your Zoom login details by email around 24 hours before the course is due to start, or at the earliest opportunity if you enrol after this point. Please keep your Zoom code safe as you will need the same code for each class. Please join Zoom five minutes before your session is due to start and remain in the “waiting room”. Your tutor will then admit you to the class once your session is ready to begin. If you require help to download or use Zoom, please email ictskills@york.gov.uk at least a week before your course starts and we will endeavour to provide assistance.

If you have any health problems or difficulties that you suffer from which you feel may impact on your ability to participate in this class please email york.learning@york.gov.uk with the class you will be attending (title/code/tutor) and we will forward this onto the relevant tutor who will, if they feel it appropriate, contact you before your first class to discuss this with you.
