African Drumming for All
Play African Drums With York Learning
If you’ve got a heartbeat, you’ve got rhythm, so come and have some foot-stomping fun making music with other people.
This 5 week course is for drummers of all levels of experience - or none, so if you’ve never played before, don’t worry, Alison will show you how, and we’ll be playing funky, multi-part traditional rhythms from day one.

Whether you are a complete beginner or whether you’ve been playing for a while, this course is for you. Or perhaps you have some drum-circle experience, and are now looking for inspiration beyond the basics - ring the changes with some original ideas on what to play!

It’s friendly and fun. All instruments are provided - and they’ll be cleaned and Covid-safe before we start, so please don’t worry about that. If you have a djembe drum of your own, and want to play that, you’re welcome to bring it along.
See you there!
