Painting & Drawing the Natural Landscape
*Due to the newly planned Bank Holiday on Monday 19th September to mark the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, this course will now start and end a week later than originally planned. The course will now start on Monday 26th September and finish on Monday 5th December.

Discover and develop your own artistic voice in this playful ten-week course with Carolyn.

Using the natural world for inspiration, we will work in a range of media and in a variety of ways, to gain inspiration. This will include:

• Making individual studies of found objects and drawing/painting still life set-ups;
• Working from photographs to develop ideas and inspire finished pieces;
• Working for a session (or two… weather permitting) “en plein air” which is lots of fun and really helps us to loosen up our mark making.

We will work upon various projects and themes throughout the course, but you are also welcome to bring in personal projects to work upon, for support and advice, if time allows.

We also spend a little time critiquing work at the end of each session and you will receive regular feedback and support online, through our class Padlet board (an online image sharing and feedback page).

There’s a lovely café on site that serves wonderful coffee and cakes also!
