Pilates for New Mums - FREE Taster
THIS IS A HYBRID COURSE THAT YOU CAN ATTEND AT THE VENUE OR ONLINE VIA ZOOM

This Postnatal Pilates Free taster session is suitable for Mums who might want to bring their baby to class too, aslong as Mum feels able to exercise safely and comfortably. There is no need to have previous knowledge of Pilates as all exercises are fully explained, demonstrated and can be adapted to suit the individual needs and capabilities of all Mums whatever your level of fitness or ability.

Pilates is a fantastic way to strengthen and support your body as your body adapts to accommodate your ever-growing bundle of joy. Essential care and attention need to be paid to your posture, pelvic floor and upper body strength safely and correctly making Pilates even more important as a Mum!

All routines are safe and suitable for Mum and Baby providing a gentle re-introduction to exercise with effective movement designed to target the muscles that often suffer most when feeding and carrying babies. Also addressing the pelvic floor and core muscles, this Pilates programme will help to aid a quicker recovery post pregnancy.

The breathing techniques increase oxygen and blood circulation and can also help to reduce stress and encourage a more focused and relaxed mind. Other benefits include a boosted immune system, greater joint mobility, improved bone density and movements to loosen and strengthen the neck and spine.
Through practicing the six principles of Pilates; concentration, control, centre, flow, precision, and breathing you will soon start to gain a greater level body awareness to help reduce pain and stiffness with a body that works to the best of its own ability.
