Guitar 2 - Beginners Plus
Improve your guitar playing with Folk, Pop and Rock and very easy classical music. Further develop your skills with chords, strumming patterns and simple finger picking. Learn to play 20 chords comfortably. Continue to develop your guitar tab reading and reading from the treble clef to play the top three strings.

By the end of the course you will feel comfortable playing 20 chords, reading simple guitar tabs and play in a simple ensemble.

This is an Hybrid course, so you can choose on a weekly basis whether to attend in person at Huntington School or online via Zoom.

This course is for those who have completed the Guitars 1 course or who have about one years experience of playing.

Please bring your own guitar, music stand, tuner, a pen, a pencil and A4 ring binder. You will also need the following books: "Guitarists Way 2" and "Simple Songs – The easiest easy guitar songbook ever". Books will cost approx. £15- £20.

You may wish to bring your own hand sanister and surface wipes to each session.

Everybody who is enrolled on this course will receive Zoom login details by email around 24 hours before the course is due to start, or at the earliest opportunity if you enrol after this point. Please keep your Zoom code safe as you will need the same code for each class. Please join Zoom five minutes before your session is due to start and remain in the “waiting room”. Your tutor will then admit you to the class once your session is ready to begin. If you require help to download or use Zoom, please email ictskills@york.gov.uk at least a week before your course starts and we will endeavour to provide assistance.

Please note that if you are attending in person please come to the community learning reception in the purple block and you will be shown where to go. Please bring your own stand and tuner where possible.

Please note that Adult Education funding is for individuals who are over the age of 19 on the 31st of August prior to the start date of their course.
