Spanish Year 3
*Due to the newly planned Bank Holiday on Monday 19th September to mark the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II this course will now start and end a week later than originally planned. The course will now start on Monday 26th September and finish on Monday 5th December.

In this course we will revisit some aspects of the previous year, and in addition, we will further develop our communication skills, grammar and vocabulary. You will learn how to express difficulties in Spanish and we will do a deep review of the “Present Tense”.

This content will be presented using a wide range of activities, videos, games, activities and texts, speaking in Spanish with your classmates from the first day in small groups.

If you enrol for terms 2 and 3, we will cover the following over the spring and summer terms in 2023:

TERM 2: This term you will learn a new way of talking in the Past in Spanish (“El pasado indefinido”), which we use to explain histories. You will also learn when to use “Pasado Indefinido”, in contrast with “Pasado Perfecto” that you learned last year.

TERM 3: Looking ahead, you will learn how to make comparisons and how to describe the locations of different objects. We will develop much more new vocabulary about the house, and new uses of ser y estar.
