Spanish Year 2
In this course you are going to progress with your communication, grammar and vocabulary learning. The course will be focused on talking about daily routines and how to express frequency. You will also learn how to order food in a bar and talk about food what you like and dislike.

You will review the present tense, some impersonal forms of verbs (“poner” and “traer”), quantifiers, prepositions and adverbs. You will also learn vocabulary about food and some Spanish and South American recipes.

If you enrol for terms 2 and 3, we will cover the following over the spring and summer terms in 2023:

TERM 2: You are going to learn how to ask for and give directions, describe cities, towns and places, and develop lots of vocabulary about services, locations, and the facilities in cities and adjectives to describe them.

TERM 3: In this term, you will be introduced for the first time to one of the Past tenses - the “Pretérito Perfecto”. You will also develop your vocabulary for describing people.

The course content will be presented using a wide range of activities, including videos, games, activities and texts. You will speak Spanish with your classmates from the first day in a small and supportive group.

This course is suitable for you if you have studied Spanish Language for a minimum of 1 year or you have taken a Spanish GCSE. You have to be able to conjugate fluently in Present Tense with all of the verbs (regular and irregular).

We strongly recommend you take the level test before you enrol, especially if you have not studied Spanish in the last two years.
