Where Land Meets Sky
A journey in acrylics, focusing on becoming comfortable with creating artwork that depicts the landscape around us.
Using supplied photographs or your own, we shall let skies take the lead. We will investigate ways to encourage our confidence and learn to master our skills in reproducing what we see or imagine.

Looking at artists from around the world, we will draw on inspiration and use this in our sessions.

A fun, easy going and relaxing class – aimed at any level.

Feel free to enjoy the coffee and cake from the library café.

You will need to bring with you:

- A pencil, charcoal, rubber.
- Acrylic paper pad A4/A3 (Windsor & Newton Galeria) or canvas board.
- A selection of acrylic paints must include titanium white, mixing white.
- Brushes, flat, sword are good - whatever you've got but a range of sizes is useful. Certainly look at a bigger size as one of these, as it would be useful for blending. A 1-inch flat brush is a good example.
- Palette, and old plate or Tupperware box to keep colours wet.
- An apron, newspaper to keep tables clean and a rag to keep brushes cleaner.

This course takes place in the Garden Room at the central library in York. It is a ground floor classroom. Please note that the library has no parking available. There are sometimes a couple of available parking slots for people with a blue badge directly outside the library but these are City of York Council owned, and not library owned, and cannot be relied on to be available. There are bike racks and a number of buses that stop nearby. Prosp User 6
