ICDL Levels 1 - 3
The ICDL qualification is available at 3 levels going from Level One to Level Three and will cover a wide range of Microsoft Office
skills that can take you from the very basics right up to advanced skills. These skills can be helpful for any level of office based work, or just to gain strong IT skills for your CV or for your own personal use.

You have the option to do a full Level Two qualification which has four modules including Word, Excel, PowerPoint – the big three for any office based environment – or to take individual modules at Level One, Level Two or Level Three, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access and so on. You do not need your own equipment – sessions take place in a variety of settings and times throughout the week. We have sessions during the day, two evenings a week and on Saturday mornings. You can attend as many sessions as you wish. It is also possible to do the qualification remotely, you would need your own Windows laptop/desktop and Microsoft Office for that to be an option. (Note: loan of these for the duration of the course is possible, please speak to us). You work at your own pace, supported and guided by our professional tutors, and sit the exam when you’re ready. You gain a nationally recognised qualification when you pass.

If you’ve had previous experience using computers and Microsoft Office software, you should be capable of doing this course at one of the three levels. If you’ve never used Microsoft Office before, we’d recommend our free Essential Digital Skills course as a good base for this. We always have an informal one-to-one chat with every person who enquires so you’ll be able to go through your worries and goals with us, then we can look with you at the best level to start at. We recommend a notebook and pen for making notes. You’ll be given access to workbooks and online workfiles as part of the course at no additional costs.

Level One modules are all FREE for everyone.

Level Two modules or full ICDL are FREE if you earn less than £17,374 a year (from 1st April 2022 FREE if you earn less than £18,525 a year). If you earn more than that one module is £175 or a full qualification is £325

Level Three modules/qualifications might be FREE under the Government Skills Offer – enquire for more details as there are some stringent entry requirements. If you are paying, one module is £325 and a full qualification is £1,250. You can take out an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the cost of the full Level Three qualification – again ask for more details.
