Essential Digital Skills Entry Level 3 and Level 1
The government-backed Essential Digital Skills qualifications are designed to help people gain the digital skills required for everyday use in life and at work. There are 2 levels available, and between them both they cover a range of skills such as how to use different digital devices, how to search the internet and be confident with finding information online, keeping safe online, communicating digitally and creating documents. You can work in a small group with our patient experienced tutors. It’s a mixture of knowledge, practical skills and demonstrations. Our learners usually start at Entry Three and progress to Level One once they’ve completed their Entry Three exams. Both Entry Three and Level One are fully accredited courses meaning you’ll gain a nationally recognised qualification on completion. Prosp User 3
If you have some basic digital skills such as knowing how to use a mouse and keyboard and login and are keen to progress your knowledge, this course is for you. If you feel you’d like to be confident about online safety and security, how to search online and how to communicate digitally safely, this course is for you. If you feel you need your confidence building in how to be digitally switched on, this course is for you. Please note that we do offer a basic IT course for absolute beginners and that you will have a conversation before the course starts with one of our team where you can discuss your digital skills and any concerns you might have. We will work with you to make sure we get your started on the correct level for your current skills. Prosp User 4
You will be working in a classroom where there are already installed PC’s so you do not need your own device. It would be helpful if you can bring a notebook and pen. All exam costs and registration costs are included – there is no extra cost to you. Prosp User 5
Our Essential Digital Skills courses run termly. If you’re interested in a course but that term’s course has already started, we’ll put you on the waiting list and offer you a place before the start of the next term’s course. Prosp User 6
