First Steps into the Digital Office
This course will give the learner basic skills in word processing and spreadsheets using Open Office, a free version which is safe to download.

This friendly course will show you how to use the basic functions in LibreOffice Writer. These include changing fonts, alignments, colours and saving documents correctly in a safe place. LibreOffice Calc will be accessed to set up a simple spreadsheet, formatting and advice on simple calculating functions to perhaps use as a home account! The course will also cover how to save these documents safely.

This course is ideal for people who want to get started with the digital office. No experience of word processing or spreadsheets is necessary, however, it would be beneficial if you were already reasonably confident using your laptop. Prosp User 4
Bring your own fully charged laptop with a notebook and pen. LibreOffice will be used for this course, and if you do not already have it installed then this will be our first task in the first class and it does not cost you anything to do that. Prosp User 5
By the end of the course you will be able to create letters and news sheets with pictures and simple spreadsheets to help with monthly household budgeting. You will also be able to save and then open your documents later. Prosp User 6
