Seated Pilates- A Gentler Approach - FREE Taster
Welcome to a free taste of our Seated Pilates . This is a hybrid course, with the option to attend at New Earswick Folk Hall in person or online via Zoom.

In Seated Pilates we focus on the six principles of Pilates: concentration, control, centre, flow, precision and breathing. We will exercise muscles and joints which will help to improve posture, strength and balance whilst working on joint flexibility and mobility. Through breathing techniques, we will increase circulation and encourage concentration and focus.

Occasionally in class there will be an option to perform standing strength and balance work.

The overall aim is to help you work towards a greater level of physical movement without pain, with a body that works to the best of its own ability. Exercises can be modified to take into account any individual health considerations.
